Gnananandam Mission Singapore Chapter Ltd (a registered not for profit public company, UEN: 202123506R) is the Singapore Chapter of Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam, a worldwide spiritual and charitable organization with headquarters in India and the United Kingdom and various chapters across Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.

Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam, headed by His Holiness Swami Niranjanananda Giri from the Jyothir Mutt Lineage focusses on serving the various communities across the world irregardless of race, creed or religion and have come together in Singapore to give hope, aid and uplift the communities in our beautiful country.

Managing Director - His Holiness Swami Niranjanananda Giri

His Holiness Swami Niranjanananda Giri propagates "serving Humanity is serving God". His Holiness champions equality in education and opportunities, and promotes social welfare to uplift the lives of those who are in need. Accordingly, a number of new initiatives and schemes have been undertaken over the years in multiples countries. These include various scholarships/bursaries such as a perpetual scholarship at the world renowned Oxford university in the UK and the Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam - SUTD bursary award here in Singapore. His Holiness has in recent times spearheaded various COVID relief efforts in Australia, India, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK benefitting thousands of individuals through donation of oxygen concentrators and other medical equipment, mental health initiatives and food donations on the ground.

1. The Honourable Lady Councillor Dr Dharshana Sridhar JP

Dr. Sridhar is a geneticist and a medical doctor who currently works as senior policy advisor to the British Prime Minister. She holds a Ph.D in social-legal studies from Oxford university and is a community Ambassador for Women’s Aid and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a board trustee of several organisations including the Prince’s Trust and the founding CEO of Samraksha, an organisation that helps women and girls from minority ethnic communities who are victims of domestic and sexual abuse. She is also a Parish Councillor, the Vice Chair of Governors on the Primary Schools Board, the University of Oxford’s Hindu Ambassador to the United Nations and a visiting scholar at Yale University. She is also Co-Director of Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam’s Pontiff’s Pro Tem Committee.

2. Mr. Tamilavel

Mr. Tamilavel started as a journalist with Tamil Murasu in 2008. He became the Deputy News Editor for Tamil Murasu in 2014 and then the News Editor in 2017. He oversaw the Digital operations in TM along with his News Editor duties. As the Digital Editor, he was instrumental in revamping the paper's website and continues to look after the digital transformation of the newsroom.Tamilavel has a Bachelor degree in Digital Media (double degree in Web Communication and Management) from Murdoch University (Kaplan). He is very much interested in charity work and currently contributes regularly to a blind school in Madurai to support the children.

3. Dr. R S Kajen

Dr. Kajen has a PhD in Engineering with over 10 years of scientific research and student mentoring experience at A*STAR, NUS and MNCs. Dr. Kajen has a strong passion for education and believes that the key role of an educator is to inspire the student; to tap on one’s innate curiosity of the world and to facilitate the joy of discovery. He has over 10 years of experience in teaching across all levels including being an adjunct assistant professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He advocates strongly to be the voice for the under privileged. â€‹
